Error with OPENXML

I am getting an error(XML parsing error: Not enough storage is
available to complete this operation.) while using OPENXML on server,
I think the problem is with bad version of MSXML.dll (someone said I
might be using 2.6 and NOT 3.0 Parser).
I want to know the service pack version of the SQL 2000 so that I would
then decide whether to apply SP3 or SP3a.
I would really appreciate if anyone can provide feedback on this.

Select @.@.version gives me this.

Your installation has no servicepack installed; the current one is SP4.

Since SP3 gives you protection aganist the slammer worm, you really
should install SP3. Or SP4 which has been for some time now.

Error while running service

Hi,
I have created .net windows service for running an exe. Exe is running
fine. It is used for inserting xml data in sql server database.
My service mode is automatic. Whenevr i start my computer it is
throwing me an error below :-
"An unhandled exception of type 'system.data.sqlclient.sqlexception'
occured in system.data.dll.
Additinal information : A connection was successfully established with
the server.but then an error occured during prelogin handshake.
(provider - SSL provider , error : 0 - the messege or signature
provided for verification has been altered"
When i start service in manual mode it runs perfectly fine. Can
someone please help me in this regard?

Open an MMC console. Go to File | Add/Remove Snap-in. Click on Add and
select Certificates. Choose Computer Account and then Local Computer.
Click Finish, Close, OK.
In the tree on the left expand Certificates (Local Computer), then click
on Personal. You need to delete all certificates that appear in the
details pane.

error while Configuring XML Support in IIS with IIS 6.0

Hi,

I've two servers on which there is the SQL 2000 Server and the IIS 6.0.

I installed the SQL Server Client Tools on web server.

And created the nwind as told in booksonline.

I declared the SQLXML extention and allowed it using IIS 6.

But there is a problem with the virtual directory I created using the tool "Configure XML Support in IIS". Web server doesn't realize it as a virtual directory. Even a jpg or a text file is not served by the IIS.

The web server shows the following error.

ERROR: 500 Internal Server Error
HResult: 0x800706f4
Source: Microsoft SQL isapi extension
Description: Invalid virtual root settings

Instead, yuo can use SQLXML 3.0.
